Biotin 5000mcg with Vitamins A, C, D, E & Zinc

A capsule-format supplement combining biotin with vitamins A, C, D, E and zinc. The listed formulation contains 5,000 mcg of biotin. Review the current package's Supplement Facts, serving size, ingredients and directions before use.

What to expect from the evidence

A higher biotin amount does not establish faster hair growth or better results. Research does not support a confident hair-growth promise for routine biotin supplementation in people without an identified clinical need. This finished formula has not been established as effective by the studies cited below.

Yelich et al. (2024), Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology, PMID 39148962, reviewed oral biotin studies and found insufficient high-quality support for hair-supplement claims. Reports involving underlying conditions should not be treated as proof of benefits for everyone.

Before using biotin

Discuss whether supplementation is appropriate with a qualified healthcare professional, especially if you are seeking help for unexplained hair loss. Do not use this product description to diagnose a deficiency or select a dose. Follow the current package directions and your clinician's advice; avoid combining supplements without reviewing their ingredients together.

Blood-test consideration: Tell your clinician and laboratory that you take biotin, including the amount and timing. Biotin can interfere with certain laboratory tests. A small study of six adults taking 10 mg daily for seven days found interference in some, but not all, tested biotin-based assays. That study did not test this finished product or establish the same effect at its listed 5,000 mcg amount. Ask the clinician or laboratory for test-specific instructions rather than choosing a stopping interval yourself.
